Halfway to Copenhagen

Good choice for an overnight stopover just a couple of kilometres off the A1 between Bremen and Hamburg. 20+pitches on the outside of a mahoosive campsite with lot of holiday facilities. Well be using again on our way home. Read the instructions carefully when you check in, especially if you want electric hook up. 

As mentioned by many other reviewers this is a large well looked after and well facilitated site on the outskirts of Ribe. Most of the pitches are in groups of 4-8 so it helps to give it a small site feeling. Easy access into town with good supermarkets and a petrol station. Also an excellent Claas farm machinery showroom for the chaps. We arrived during the jazz festival which looked great fun. Ribe is good for a mooch and a trundle interspersed with a coffee or a beer. There's a good selection of places to eat in town.

The site also appears to accommodate all RV types from cyclists with tents upto very large motorhomes so you should be fine. I would happily recommend this site to you. 

Situated on the southern edge of town just over the sand dunes from the beach. Good sized pitches on a well looked after site with a good reception/shop and facilities mini golf, camper kitchens and a large bbq hut. Thyboron itself is a very honest hardworking place with a range of shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Happy to recommend it.

Our overnight stop in the dunes, right on the coast and within earshot of the breaking waves. The site is good value with all the facilities you need including the now compulsory fish gutting table. Take a tip from us and park facing the coast and not across the coastline. Its very windy and the vans a rockin' tonight! Watch out for the sand, it gets everywhere. 

Ultimately, this is a 30 minute walk from the car park (15Kr an hour) down the beach to get to the most northerly point of mainland Denmark. At least you can stand with your feet in the water (it's cold) and have one foot in The North Sea and the other in The Baltic Sea when you get there. If you'd prefer, the Sand Bus will get you most of the way there and back for 40Kr, and a big queue. They're are some seals on the beach, please leave them alone and keep yourself and your kids away from them. Also watch out for jellyfish in the water and on the beach. There are some big carparks which aren't big enough when it gets busy, so you'll have to turn around and park on the road and walk even further. There are a handful of slots for motorhomes.... if you feel lucky! There's a shop/cafe/bar and a coke of other things to look at too. I guess, if you're in Northern Denmark it's one of the places you have to visit. 

Large site on the north side of town with good facilities, good services and large pitches. The marina across the road has a restaurant and there's a quirky little beach shack bar a bit further down the road. The onsite shop had some basics, but there's a large supermarket just off the main road about 500 metres away. Plenty of toilets and showers in 3 separate blocks around the park. On another note, DO NOT underestimate Fredrikshaven, it's a very lovely working town that deserves more time than we gave it. Happy to recommend both the caravan park and the town.

Very well located site in the city and on a direct bus route into the centre. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and what you get is very nice. Showers are a bit in short supply for the size, but otherwise all okay. There are two museum attractions on the doorstep as well as the open air (free) swimming pool. There's also a small SPAR store 5 minutes walk away if you need to stock up on supplies. Aalborg itself had a lot to offer, great shopping, lots of historic buildings, a couple more museums, the tower and the views. There's also the Troll Island, for which the ferry is, again, close to the site. You should also try the Street Food Waterhouse on the waterfront, a great concept and great food too. 

Without doubt the poorest side we've stayed at on this trip. Tired, broken or overgrown just about covers most of it. I can't possibly reccommend it. See my Google review. 

Good site to choose if you're visiting Central Odense. Easy access into the city either by bus, which stops just outside, or by escooter and bicycle. The site itself offers good facilities with fresh bread in the morning. There are two facilities blocks, both well sized and a motorhome service point as well. You can normally tell how good a site is by how full it is, and this one is pretty busy.
