We are a family farm with dairy cows and their offspring (heifers, bulls, and calves), so you can get fresh milk for breakfast or dinner. Our farm is located on a cul-de-sac.
Electricity and Wi-Fi are available. Fresh water is provided. Your wastewater can be disposed of in a separate area or in a collection container below.
The bakery and butcher shop in Hochmoor are approximately 1.3 km away. The larger neighboring town of Velen is approximately 5 km away, providing additional shopping (discount stores, textiles, restaurants, and a medical center).
We offer two pitches for motorhomes outside Gescher-Hochmoor (located in a cul-de-sac and overlooking the sunset) – in the Hohe Mark Nature Park, close to the Schlösser-Route or Flamingo Route cycle path, in the immediate vicinity of the Fürstenkuhle and Kuhlenvenn nature reserves.
Hochmoor is home to the (German) Peat Museum, fishing ponds, and restaurants. In spring 2023, a playground opened in the center of Hochmoor, right next to the church (whose exterior is intended to represent God's tent on earth). In Gescher, 10 km away, it's worth visiting the Museum Farm, the Bell Museum, and the Beekeeping Museum. The concert theater in Coesfeld (approx. 18 km away) has earned a reputation for hosting numerous cultural events.
During the summer months (except during the North Rhine-Westphalia summer holidays), you can also visit the open-air theater in Coesfeld. There are both afternoon and evening performances.
There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools in the neighboring towns of Coesfeld, Reken, Gescher, Velen and Ramsdorf, and a wave pool in Heiden provides fun.
A trip to the Dülmen wild horses (about 10-15 minutes by car) and to several castles (Velen, Lembeck, Raesfeld, Darfeld, Ahaus) is always worth a visit.
A short distance away (Vreden) you can see the northernmost flamingos in the wild, and the Frankenhof Wildlife Park (with a large children's playground) and the Granat Wildlife Park are also nearby.
In Haltern, there's the Ketteler Hof amusement park (outdoor and indoor). The Movie Park amusement park in Bottrop can be reached in 30 minutes via the A31.
Golfers can get their money’s worth in Coesfeld or Reken.
A low ropes course for children is just 10 km away in Reken. Corn mazes open in the surrounding area from the end of July.
Do you have your bikes with you, or would you like to rent some in the neighboring town? Münsterland is known for its bicycle paths. Hikers can indulge in their hobby in the Hohe Mark or Hünsberg.
It takes about 10 minutes by car to reach the A31 motorway (Reken or Gescher junction), about 20/25 minutes to reach the A43 (Dülmen or Haltern junction), and about 5 minutes to reach the B67.
