The meadow itself is only for camping, it is flat.

Welcome to our camping area in the Franconian Switzerland Nature Park! Here, nature lovers will find an oasis of peace, free from air and light pollution. Our idyllic campsite is located on the outskirts of the charming mountain village of Ernhüll in the Upper Palatinate Jura, on the border with Middle Franconia.

The site is the perfect starting point for discovering the beauty of Hersbruck Switzerland, Franconian Switzerland, and the Upper Palatinate Jura Mountains. Enjoy the impressive stalactite caves, explore ancient castles, palaces, and ruins, and combine natural experiences with cultural experiences – right on site or just a few kilometers away.
The surrounding countryside offers numerous hiking, climbing, and cycling trails. Several trails run right outside the door.
Hersbruck, with its historic old town and thermal spa, and Sulzbach Rosenberg, are about a 15-minute drive away. An outdoor pool is located in Etzelwang, a 3.5-km walk away.
Two via ferratas with beautiful views – the Norissteig and the Höhenglücksteig – are only about 15 minutes away by car.
Location, property and infrastructure

The campsite is located on a cozy orchard meadow at the edge of the forest, in the immediate vicinity of an organic farm with happy dairy sheep. The property is home to numerous animals such as dormice, toads, crested newts, bats, fireflies, slowworms, and various wild bees. Here you can experience nature up close and connect with the Franconian and Upper Palatinate way of life in rustic inns and convivial gatherings.
- Toilets and bathrooms are available for shared use. Firewood, a hot tub for up to 5 people, and a sauna are available for an additional charge.
Generally, it's possible to light a campfire or have a barbecue. However, be sure to check beforehand whether there's a risk of forest fires due to dry conditions. In this case, open fires are prohibited by law, as parts of the property are forested.
