Numerous sights await you here, such as Friesenhausen Castle 🏰, the castle ruins, and beautiful half-timbered houses. The region is ideal for hiking 🥾and cycling 🚲, as it is well-developed and signposted. Rottenstein Castle ruins, the Schwedenschanze ski jump, the Hofheim outdoor pool, and the Nassach natural bathing lake are also nearby.
To make your stay even more enjoyable, you could visit Café Verena, for example, where regular events take place on the cabaret stage (highly recommended). You can find hearty meals at the "Zum Schmittbrunnen" inn in Happertshausen, and the village shop in Aidhausen and the Lutz grocery store in Kerbfeld offer a full range of services (even with their own butcher shop 🍖).
Want to experience handicrafts? Then you should definitely plan a visit to the Old Forge in Happertshausen. Here, you can try everything from firesmithing to sewing to woodworking. The historic village shop, the half-timbered village of Nassach, the Rote Mater wayside shrine, and the spring at the Holy Wood are also worth a visit.
