Netherlands in autumn - From Venlo to Hengelo in short stages

Travelogue
We were able to drive quickly from Altena to just behind the Dutch border on a Sunday with good weather and no traffic jams.
At the barrier in front of the De Schatberg campsite we could already tell that we had chosen a good first destination. Everything looks very inviting here! The reception with adjoining restaurant, ice cream parlor, snack bar and a SPAR supermarket are combined in a very modern building.
The supermarket is very well stocked for a campsite (rolls etc).
The young lady at reception was very friendly and using the ACSI card was no problem. A tourist tax of €1.90/person is added to the ACSI price. If you want to use the swimming pool, you have to pay an additional €7.50 per person per day. It wasn't worth it to us and it was too expensive!
The pitches are quite large and you can also choose other pitches for an additional charge.
The sports facilities and the indoor swimming pool look very well maintained.
If you want to cycle to Venlo, you can do so via the well-developed cycle paths (the return journey is approx. 38 km).
We can recommend this campsite and would go there again and again!

Nice tidy campsite! It looks like you're on vacation at a nursery!
Friendly welcome at reception and the ACSI discount card was recognized without any problems! A tourist tax of €2.90/person and day is added to the ACSI price.
The sanitary building is modern and beautifully designed.
It's definitely worth taking a walk around the entire square. Especially in the bungalow area!
The range of sports for all generations is also great.
Cyclists will also be happy here.

At the De Oude Molen campsite we were welcomed by a very friendly and competent lady at the reception. We were quickly shown free places and we were able to drive directly to the site in the motorhome.
The normal ACSI price is 17€ including electricity (but only with 4 amps)! We were offered a comfort pitch for €19 (but it only has 6 amps). We decided on this option. We put the fridge on gas and then it's fine. We also use an ECOFLOW River 2 pro! This is particularly helpful when there are few amps available because it can be used to operate devices with up to 1600 watts. The ECOFLOW can be easily set to a reduced charging speed and can therefore be easily recharged even on sockets with low amperes!
The tourist tax is €1.78/day.
We got a large space here with water and sewage and it was very quiet.
We recommend taking a short bike ride to visit the weekly market in Nijmegen (Saturdays) (approx. 9 km away). This route can be ridden entirely on cycle paths!
The campsite is close to the city center and can also be easily reached on foot. The center has everything you need!

At the reception we met a very friendly lady in the reception. Even though there was a language barrier, we could sense their warmth. The cleaning lady here is also very friendly and cleans properly. The sanitary building was always clean and well maintained during our stay.
It's easy to cycle into the city of Doetimchen. There is everything there for your daily needs.
The ACSI PRICE (18€/day / including electricity (10 amps) and shower tokens) was recognized without any problems. There is also a tourist tax and garbage fee of €1 per person per day.
The meadow plots look neat and well maintained.
We've done well here!

We only went to this campsite for one night because we had to go to Obelink again and then wanted to ride our bikes to the city center of Winterswijk (only about 3km).
The campsite is suitable for this purpose and costs only €12.50/day (including 10A electricity). Note: This is the winter pitch price because no services are offered then. Only electricity, wastewater (with chemical toilet) and garbage can be disposed of.
Here the payment amount must be thrown into the mailbox.
The campsite is located directly on the small lake!
The place is perfectly fine for a stopover!

After a short journey we reached Camping Mooi Delden.
When we arrived (10:50 a.m.) the reception was closed. There was information on the door with a phone number that you could call to register. But an older woman saw us and completed the registration.
In the reception office, a small and 2 large dogs ran around freely behind the counter. The 2 large and strong dogs didn't seem very peaceful and growled until they were asked to be quiet.
To be honest, it would be far too dangerous for me as a campsite operator and there are many people who are afraid of such dogs!
Otherwise, registration was very friendly and quick. The ACSI DISCOUNT CARD was accepted immediately.
The campsite was not very busy on October 5th and we got a large pitch.
The sanitary building was cleaned very well and looks appropriately maintained.
The neighboring town of Delden is approx. 1.5km away (there is an Albert Heijn supermarket here). Hengelo is also only about 8km away by bike. But I have to say that we have seen more beautiful Dutch cities than Hengelo (some empty buildings).
Positive: In Hengelo there is a great Ikea (it is a well-stocked market) and other large stores next to Ikea.
Except for the dogs in reception, everything was perfectly fine here! I also can't judge whether the dogs are regularly in the reception or whether it was just an exception when we arrived!
