The Freeontour camping portal not only has a free route planner, a campsite and pitch guide as well as an online magazine for mobile travellers under one roof, but also a member card that offers Freeontour members numerous advantages with a range of partners. Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about the Freeontour member card.

How can I get a Freeontour advantage card?

Anyone who has registered for a free account at freeontour.com or in the Freeontour app automatically receives a digital Freeontour member card. All you have to do is create a free profile by clicking the Register button. You can choose your own user name and you will then see it e.g. when you make a route you planned available to other users. After registering, a confirmation email will be automatically sent to the email address provided (note: if it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder). After confirming the email address via the link in the email, your Freeontour profile, which comes with your own advantage card, will be activated immediately and ready for use.

Can I also get a classic member card by post?

The short answer: no. For sustainability reasons, Freeontour has not sent any new plastic member cards since the beginning of 2022. However, classic cards from previous years are still valid until the expiration date on them. By no longer using analogue plastic cards, we not only avoid waste, but can also offer more advantages to Freeontour members:
1. The digital member card is available immediately after registration is completed.
2. The validity of the card is extended automatically.
3. The digital member card can be called up at any time and anywhere online or in the Freeontour app using a smartphone or tablet.

Where can I find the digital Freeontour advantage card?

Log in to your account on the Freeontour online portal, click on your profile in the top right-hand corner and you can then call up your routes, your bookmarked items as well as your member card. In the Freeontour app, simply tap on the Profile button in the bottom menu bar and then select Customer Card or Member Card. This is where you also can easily switch to the partner section where you can view all the offers our partners give to Freeontour members. When on the go, you can also see which of our partners are near you, provided the settings on your mobile device allow access to location data.

Where can I see what discounts Freeontour offers?

All companies and providers that currently offer discounts to Freeontour members can be found under the menu item Partners in both the Freeontour camping portal and the Freeontour app. These include a range of companies from the leisure sector such as thermal baths, museums and ferry companies as well as campsites and pitches along with suppliers of practical camping accessories and caravanning and travel experts. And if you do not have your own camping vehicle, you can look forward to discounts on motorhome, campervan or caravan rentals. Each Freeontour partner decides whether they want to offer an online or an on-site discount and the details are displayed on each partner's page. You can also filter partner sites in the Freeontour campsite and pitch guide – just like you can in the Freeontour route planner when planning your own route.

How do I benefit from direct discounts on site?

Simply call up the digital Freeontour member card on your smartphone or tablet at the checkout, show it and claim the discount, regardless of whether you are at a campsite, thermal baths or a caravan dealership.

How does the online discount work?

To benefit from our partners' online discounts, you have to be logged in to Freeontour. Then call up the partner's page you need and you will see details on how to proceed. Sometimes you will get a discount code for booking a service, other times you will be redirected to a designated landing page where the discount is deducted automatically.
