Route description for Itinerary: Once around the Swabian Sea

The beautiful Obsthof Moll is only a 20-minute drive from Lake Constance. The organic farm is run by the fourth generation and, like their grandfather, Patrick and Melli, who have been running the farm for a few years, ensure that the meadow orchards are preserved and that organic apples are sold. They also offer their apple orchards as a pitch for campers and thus offer the perfect starting point for excursions to Lake Constance or the region. On the pitch you are directly adjacent to the orchard with a view of the magnificent tall trees, ponies and on the other side on a large green meadow. In the lovingly furnished farm shop you will also find many apple-related products that come directly from the farm.

Lake Constance is worth a visit at any time of the year, but the summer months in particular are of course perfect for getting to know the Lake Constance region from its most beautiful side and not only getting to know the lake from the outside, but also from the inside with a refreshing swim. There are countless beautiful lidos where you can spend unforgettable summer days and if it should be a bit chilly, four different thermal baths invite you to relax.

Konstanz is the beating heart of Lake Constance. There you will find a spacious and colorful city center with many nice cafes and restaurants. If you stroll through the streets there, you will quickly notice that there is a real holiday feeling there. Another pearl is the Konstanzer Hafer with the statue of Imperia. You can also take a boat tour from the harbor or take a boat to the other side of the lake.

In Unteruhldingen you will feel a bit transported to another time and to the Maldives, because there you will find the replicas of a prehistoric settlement that once stood there on stilts in the water. You can walk over the jetties and get an idea of how people lived on the water back then. The Unteruhldingen pile dwellings are not only very beautiful to look at, but also extremely interesting!

The island of Mainau is often just referred to as the "flower island", where you can marvel at the beauty of nature all year round. In spring and summer a dreamlike sea of flowers awaits you there. In addition to great planted areas, a palm house and a butterfly house, there is also a good gastronomic offer on the island, so that an all-round successful day is ensured.

Meersburg Castle is one of the main attractions on Lake Constance. It was once the first inhabited castle in Germany and sits enthroned high up with a phenomenal view over the lake. Today there is a museum in the castle and a city walk through Meersburg is also worthwhile.

The Pfänder is a mountain on the Austrian side of Lake Constance. There are great hiking trails leading to the summit and also a cable car. Once at the top, you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the entire Lake Constance.

Only a stone's throw away from Lake Constance you will find Europe's largest waterfall in Switzerland - the Rhine Falls. The waterfall is 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, a true natural spectacle that you should not miss!
