This time our vacation will be a little different, because we wanted to be considerate of our old dog, so we specifically looked for campsites that are dog-friendly.
Instead of the van, we attached the caravan and went on various trips from our respective locations.
A completely new experience for us 😀, but also a great experience.
TIPS!
Relaxed driving around the Elbe tunnel during the day.
Transit campsite in the Lüneburg Heath.
Recommended, although you can pay with euros and cards almost everywhere, you should not underestimate the foreign use of the banks and the exchange rate.
We did exchange a few euros for krone.
Almost all campsites in Denmark have senior and family rates, we made several test bookings (normal, camping card / Acsi / Adac, in-house rates).
It is definitely worth comparing here.
You can shop well at 365 Discount, Netto, Brugsen etc.
You don't have to take so much from home anymore.
The Danish campsites where we were have fully equipped kitchens.
Here you can safely save on gas, electricity and washing up by hand.

Fuel prices are usually stable for a week.

Conclusion:
A holiday like in a picture book with lots of impressions.
A big plus was the great weather in May, although we had a few sunny days in September, it's mostly overcast at this time of year and it can get very stormy.
But Denmark is beautiful at any time of year and a walk in wind force 10 is unforgettable.
Our return trip along the Baltic Sea started at the Hygge campsite, the next stop was again the transit site in Harburg.

A 4.5 star place in the Skagen region and every star is more than justified.
The well-kept facility impresses with the incredible friendliness and helpfulness of the German-speaking staff,

WiFi is really good.
You don't actually need your own gas, you can cook in one of the superbly equipped kitchens.
There are various ways to do sports.
The offer is complemented by a playground, wellness, fitness room, swimming pool ...
The RV, laundry and dog can be washed on site.
Cash is not necessary, your bank card is enough 😀
You can also exchange euros into crowns at a good rate.
The furry friends were able to go to the beach without any problems, although we had them on a long leash, so if you went further to the right or left you would be pretty much alone there.
There is definitely more going on in the high season.
Various cycle paths are easily accessible from the campsite.
A grocery store, larger than the one in our town, is very well stocked.
This CP is really highly recommended.
