City-Camping Kockelscheuer

A very nice site with good and practical amenities. Spacious, large pitches, many of which are shaded. Most pitches are on grass, making them ideal for both short and long stays.

The sanitary facilities are a bit dated, but clean.

Minicamping Zwetzone

A small campsite outside of The Hague. Very friendly hosts, beautiful, and well-organized pitches. The restrooms are quite old, but clean and perfectly adequate. Without a bike, you're a bit stuck; the nearest tram stop is about a 25-minute walk away. Line 16 takes you directly to Den Haag HS station in about 20 minutes. From there, you can take trams 1 or 9 to the city center or the beach in just a few minutes.

The free Wi-Fi is very slow and potentially dangerous because you can see all the logged-in devices and, with a little skill, you can even access them.

Since we didn't have any bikes with us, we wouldn't choose this place again, but all in all it was perfectly fine.

Camping Zur Burgwiese

A beautiful site located in a wine-growing region. It's primarily for permanent campers, but there are a few tourist sites. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant, "Klause zur Burgwiese," is very good and reasonably priced.

There are many paths for dog walks right next to the campsite, but otherwise it's somewhat lost. You can tell that the village was affected by the 2021 floods; there are several abandoned buildings in the lower part of the village. Particularly impressive: you can see how high the water was on the building walls.

The infrastructure, especially the restrooms, are quite dated. While adequate and acceptable for one night, we wouldn't consider a longer stay, even though the area is ideal for beautiful hikes. However, the site is well maintained, and the restrooms are clean. The small pool is great for cooling off.

At least two 50-cent coins are required for showering (4 minutes of showering). The price for the site is rather high; we paid 50 euros for a motorhome, three people, and a dog, plus an extra charge for showering.
