It runs from Dover on Deal Road to Kingsdown - Walmer - Deal - Sandwich Bay - Ramsgate - Broadstairs - Kingsgate Bay and Botany Bay - Margate - Westgate-on-Sea - Birchington-on-Sea - Herne Bay - Whitstable - Rochester / Chatham on the Medway River and back to Dover or Folkestone via the M 2 and M 20 to the ferry or the Eurotunnel. This route, which takes around eight days and is convenient to two places per day, leads along the north-east coast of Kent and includes some of the most beautiful beaches in southern England with the Isle of Thanet.
