Tip Kassel:
If you want to drive directly over Kassel, you can take a city tour "in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm", go to the Knallhütte brewery for a fairytale lesson, or take a hike on the fairytale path around Baunatal.
The city is closely linked to the Brothers Grimm, who lived and researched here for many years. The fairy tale contributor Dorothea Viehmann told them many fairy tales here, which can now be found in her world-famous book "Children's and Household Tales" (UNESCO World Documentary Heritage). Originals of the works, as well as a lot of other information about fairy tales and the Brothers Grimm, can be found in the Museum GRIMMWELT Kassel.
The KASSEL Camping campsite (Giessenalle 9) was reopened at Documenta in the summer, and there should also be a new motorhome parking space next year. Opening times: currently winter break,
Next year again 28.03. - 31.10.2018 open.
