Warum Campingurlaub im Baltikum?
Why camping holiday in the Baltic States?
In addition to its cultural highlights and sights, street cafes and restaurants, customs and events (festivals) in the capital cities, the Baltic States offer much more. The destination is also suitable for those seeking relaxation with its wellness offers and its sauna culture. There are miles of secluded sandy beaches along the enticing Baltic Sea coast and many campsites are located directly by the sea or not far from the beach. The Baltic States are also known as a paradise for wild campers. Nature lovers can discover one of the many national parks. In the Baltic States you can expect a multicultural flair and very helpful and friendly Baltic people who have one or the other tip for excursions ready. Traveling is just as safe as anywhere else in European countries. There are modern petrol stations and supply options on the routes. However, you should be careful on secondary routes, some of which can run on unpaved roads.
Campsites in the Baltic States:
The campsites come in all different standards, from simple to luxurious camping. Most campsites have a European standard, but are rather cheaper in terms of price. However, camping tourism is still a growing market. The pitches are equipped with power connections for mobile homes and caravans, service stations for waste water and fresh water supply and sanitary facilities. There is often a sauna right on site, WiFi, barbecue facilities and bike rental.
*This route recommendation presents the campsites in and near the cities of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn that are suitable for a stopover.
