We want to tackle our 2nd Croatia tour in 2022 in 5 stages with 4 overnight stays. Since my legs swell very quickly, we only want to drive 2-300 km a day and take several breaks. From Dangstetten through Switzerland and the Gotthard tunnel, in several stages via Brione, Cannobio, Chiasso, Milan, Lake Garda, Venice, Trieste to Croatia. Via Riejka along the coastal road "Jadranka Magistrale" to Starigrad-Tribanj. After 4 weeks in Croatia we want to take 2 weeks to drive home.

The Autokamp Amaris is located in Sibinj directly on the Jadranska Magistrale (Croatian coastal road) about 1km after Novi Vinodolski. The pitch has direct access to the sea and the sanitary facilities were rebuilt in 2020. He is not only a stage place, but also a suitable SP for longer stays. Our next stage is in Peschiera on Lake Garda. Despite the best weather, I caught the flu and stayed in the WoMo for 3 days. Although Inge was often alone at the lake, I still infected her and when I was back on my feet, she was lying flat. So we were both mostly alone in Peschiera. Area Sosta Camper
Our pitch in Cannobio is just 15 minutes walk from the town center. The Area Sosta Camper pitch is very natural right on a river/stream and is run by the municipality. The old toilets incl. sanitary area and
the discharge and supply leave a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. However, in the middle of the square there is a brand new sanitary building with 1 toilet and a shower for men and women. However, there is no toilet lid! The price is €20 per day and must be paid in cash at the machine. Only €5, €10 and €20 bills are accepted.

Wohnmobil-Park Waldshut
The weather forecast for the coming week was anything but positive for Lake Maggiore. From Sunday it was supposed to be pouring rain, so we packed everything up on Saturday evening and when we went to the slopes on Sunday, the weather was actually as announced; crappy! Already after 5 minutes we had the first traffic jam because a coach couldn't get past a ledge because oncoming traffic was too strong. About ½ hour later we continued to the Gotthard tunnel and we stood there for 2.5 hours. When we finally made it to Zurich, we were - as almost always - stuck in Zurich. We changed our plans and didn't drive in the direction of Bad Dürrheim, but to Waldshut. Unfortunately, Inge still got severe toothache, which is why we went to her dentist on Monday and then got an appointment for an emergency operation on Tuesday.

Our 2nd Croatia tour 2022 is over and we arrived home happy. Our conclusion: the weather was very mixed and we had a few rainy days too many. There was a lot going on on the streets and we had to cope with several big traffic jams. All in all it was a wonderful holiday with some special highlights. The stone bridge with the fantastic rock formations in Laverterzzo and Cannobio on Lake Maggiore was very impressive. We will definitely go back to Cannobio.
