The charm of this listed natural area makes it an ideal place for outdoor activities. Discover a landscape of rocky cliffs, marshes, moors and forests. Granite cliffs, some of which are more than 50 metres high, plunge steeply into the Oust, making the Ile aux Pies one of the most famous climbing spots in Brittany. There are numerous routes for both novices and the more experienced among you. At the top, you can rest while enjoying the simply magnificent views! For those who like to walk, there is a towpath and numerous paths. From the Ile aux Pies leisure centre, take the footpath on your right which will lead you to an observatory. Another on the left will lead you through the woods to a breathtaking viewpoint over the Oust valley. On the banks as well as on the heights, marked paths follow the watercourse and allow you to discover all the richness of the fauna and flora. You can also stroll along the Nantes-Brest canal. For mountain bikers, there are a number of routes that allow you to explore the Oust valley. For fishing enthusiasts, the gentle banks of this site will allow you to tease goujons and carp... without forgetting the possibility, for others, of gliding on the water thanks to the hire of canoes, kayaks, barges and electric boats.
